The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday confirmed that Ravi Shastri has been selected as the new coach of the Indian cricket team.
BCCI acting President CK Khanna said that Ravi Shastri has been appointed as the next head coach of Team India, Zaheer Khan as bowling coach and Rahul Dravid has been appointed as the overseas batting coach.
The tenure of Shastri, Khan and Dravid will be till 2019 World Cup.
"As part of the process for selecting the Head Coach, the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and V.V.S. Laxman conducted the interviews and recommended these appointments in the best interest of the Indian Cricket," BCCI acting Secretary Amitabh Choudhary said in a statement.
Shastri had earlier served as the Team Director for India's tour of England in 2014 to the 2016 World T20.Saharasamay desk For Latest Updates Please-
