Nine people have been rescued and 30 still feared trapped under debris of a residential building that collapsed in Mumbai's Ghatkopar.

According to the initial reports, a four-storey building at Damodar Park on Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg collapsed on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place at around 10:45am.  

Fourteen fire engines, one rescue van and an ambulance have reached the spot.

Rescue operation is underway and as a precautionary measure, electricity supply to the area has been cut.
