According to the Delhi Health Department, among the total 1,578 cases, 1,080 patients are the 'positive cases under special operations'.
The health bulletin says while 82 positive cases have foreign travel history and 327 have "contacts history".
Among the total patients, 40 were cured and discharged while one has migrated. "A total of 10 people were discharged on Wednesday and 1,505 cases are active as of April 15," the report said.
The health report said five patients are on the ventilators, while 29 in ICU. So far, 16,605 tests have been conducted in the city and 956 reports are pending.
"While 1,578 reports were positive, 13,865 reports were negative," it says.
A total of 11,987 people are home-quarantined across the city and 2,517 are quarantined at the government facilities. The positive cases in the city are increasing at a rapid rate for the last 15 days. The total positive cases in Delhi were 97 with two deaths on March 30.
The cases were 152 on April 1 with two deaths reported, and it jumped to 503 with seven deaths by April 5. By April 10, there were 903 cases with 14 deaths. On April 12, there were 1,154 cases with 24 deaths. It received a record jump of 356 cases on Monday.
So far, Delhi has made 57 containment zones across the city, with one new red zone added on Wednesday in the North district.
Containment Zones, also known as the red zones, are the area sealed by the district administrations after at least three coronavirus cases were found in the locality.
Among the districts, the highest containment zones are in the South East District with 14 such zones; followed by the East district with nine red zones.
