Two toddlers playing inside a parked car sustained burn injuries on Thursday when it suddenly caught fire, Delhi Police said.
Siblings Deepanshi, aged three-and-half years, and 21-month-old Lakshita were playing inside their father's car in west Delhi's Budh Vihar area around 9.30 a.m. when the vehicle was suddenly engulfed in flames.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Police have ruled out foul play.
A police officer said the children may have been playing with a matchbox or a lighter which led to the fire.
The children were admitted to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital here, where Lakshita's condition is said to be critical.IANS For Latest Updates Please-
