Congress loses votes if I make speeches: Digvijay Singh Last Updated : 17 Oct 2018 12:06:55 AM IST Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh A video of senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh surfaced in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday in which he says that his only work in the upcoming assembly elections in the state is to make "no speeches" and not to campaign as "Congress loses votes" if he makes speeches.
The two-time former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister is seen saying this in a casual conversation in Hindi with party workers.
"My only work is no speech, no campaign. Congress loses votes if I make speeches so I don't go for campaigning," Singh said.
The video, that was recorded earlier, went viral on Tuesday when Congress President Rahul Gandhi was in the state to campaign for the party.
Singh also said that Congress cannot win elections if party workers do not put in an effort and advised them to work for the official candidate even if they were opposed to him.
"If you will keep dreaming, we will not be able to form government. Even if your enemy gets ticket, make sure he wins."
Voting in Madhya Pradesh will take place on November 28 and the results will be announced on December 11IANS For Latest Updates Please-
