In order to provide food at subsided rate to the poor in urban areas, Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya announced 'Deendayal Rasoi Yojna' while presenting Madhya Pradesh's Budget for 2017-2018 here on Wednesday.
He said a sum of Rs 10 crore will be allocated for creating necessary infrastructure to implement the scheme.
The minister said: "Year 2017, the birth centenary year of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, is being celebrated as 'Garib Kalyan Varsh'. To mark the year, 'Deendayal Rasoi Yojna' is being launched in selected urban areas."
The funds for the scheme will be arranged through the donations received from corporate sector under Corporate Social Responsibility.
