Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that killings in the name of 'gau bhakti' (cow worship) is not acceptable but his remark did not bring any change as a man accused of carrying beef was beaten to death in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district just after his statement. Alimuddin alias Asgar Ansari was beaten to death on the suspicion of carrying beef in his car. Three days ago a dairy owner was attacked by a mob in the state after the carcass of a cow was found near the house. | ||||||||
