Dhanbad’s Chasnala mines will remain close for one month. On 26th of April a severe incident took place in the Chasnala mines. The DGMS Officials and SAIL directors visited the spot and order to shut down the mines for one month.
The decision to shut down the mines is related to security reasons. last week on 26 april a crane was fell down in the mines. There were stampede at the spot and The labrours are fled away.
The Laborours working in the mines are now jobless. They have no ernings for livelihood Jobs are the primary concern for hundreds of workers. They are afraid to work in the mines.
The Chasnala mines is said to be the deppest mines in Asia. If you ask anybody, he will repeat what has been heard many times who have been handed over the jobs.
In Chasnala 375 peope died when the mine was flooded on December 27, 1975. A Hindi film, Kaala Patthar with Amitabh Bachchan, was based loosely on the incident. It brought Chasnala into public focus.
