Maoist guerrillas torched three vehicles involved in transporting coal in Jharkhand's Chatra district on Thursday, police said.
At least 10 to 15 militants raided a private company engaged by the Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) at Tandawa. The incident took place at CCL's Magadh colliery project.
Denial of levy sought by Maoists is said to be the reason behind the attack.In 2016, more than 50 vehicles involved in different development work were torched by the Maoists. Maoists are active in 18 of the 24 districts of Jharkhand.
