Avalanche warning issued for 4 Kashmir districts Last Updated : 16 Nov 2020 07:11:05 PM IST Avalanche (file photo) Avalanche warnings were issued on Monday for four districts of Jammu & Kashmir following fresh rain and snowfall in the Union Territory.
A medium danger avalanche warning has been issued for Kupwara and Baramulla districts while a low danger warning has been issued for Bandipora and Ganderbal districts.Officials said the warning shall remain in force during the next 48 hours."People are advised not to move out unnecessarily in higher reaches of these districts during the next 48 hours," an official of the provincial administration said.The official said the danger of avalanches in higher reaches starts normally once the weather clears out.After two days of rain and snowfall, weather in J&K has improved. Met officials said except for scattered rain/snow at isolated places, there would be no major change in general weather conditions during the next 7 days.IANS Srinagar For Latest Updates Please-
