5,106 Covid patients discharged in Tamil Nadu on Thursday Last Updated : 16 Jul 2020 08:28:02 PM IST file photo Tamil Nadu on Thursday saw a record 5,106 Covid patients discharged from various hospitals even as 4,549 new coronavirus cases emerged, said the State Health Department.
In a statement issued here, the department said 5,106 Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals taking the total tally to 107,416.According to the department, 4,549 people turned Covid-19 patients in the state over the past 24 hours taking the total tally to 155,369.The total number of Covid-19 patients who died over the past 24 hours was 69 taking the death toll to 2,236.The number of active Covid-19 cases in the state after taking into account the cured and dead stands at 46,714.The number of infected children in the state in the age group 0-12 went up to 7,782.The state capital Chennai continued to head the Covid-19 infection table with 1,157 persons testing positive for the virus and its total tally stands at 82,128. The active cases in the city stand at 15,038 while the total number of Covid-19 patients discharged in Chennai stood at 1,712.IANS Chennai For Latest Updates Please-
