With 136 new cases, corona tally rises to 3,386 in Odisha Last Updated : 11 Jun 2020 12:36:26 PM IST file photo The number of total COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha rose to 3,386 with the detection of 136 more cases in the last 24 hours, said the Health department on Thursday.
Of the 136 cases, 54 patients are the personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and Odisha Fire Services.The personnel were under quarantine after returning to Odisha following cyclone Amphan restoration work in West Bengal.Earlier, 62 NDRF and ODRAF personnel had got infected with the virus.The number of active cases in Odisha rose to 1,092 while while 2,282 persons have so far recovered and nine have succumbed to the infection.Meanwhile, a 38-year-old female COVID-19 patient in the state capital died due to septic shock with multi-organ failure."Regret to inform that one female #Covid19 positive patient of Bhubaneswar, aged 38 years, who was under long-standing treatment for psoriasis and was on immunosuppressant drugs, has passed away.
