Vaghela might announce his exit from Congress today Last Updated : 21 Jul 2017 11:19:11 AM IST Shankersinh Vaghela speaks to media on birthday
It can be a big setback to Congress as Shankarsinh Vaghela might announce his exit from the pary today on his 77th birthday.
Just months before Assembly Elections in Gujarat, Former Gujarat CM Shankersinh Vaghela has decided to split from Congress.
Vaghela, who was once a face of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is expected to make some big announcements and there are speculations that the veteran Congress leader may join BJP again.
Vaghela recently made headlines when he raised questions on Congress leadership of Sonia Gandhi and unfriended and unfollowed the Congress official profiles.
There are also reports that 12 MLAs from Congress cross-voted in support of BJP's presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind in the presidential elections which took place on Thursday.
Soon after the reports, Congress asked Vaghela not to speak against the party and its leadership or action would be taken,
"Let them do; I will take action don't worry," Vaghela said on reports of Congress core committee warning him of action regarding his comments on party.
"Will speak in detail about all issues at 2 pm today, wait for sometime," the leaded told media on Friday morning.Saharasamay desk For Latest Updates Please-
