The Congress on Friday said Goa Governor Mridula Sinha has "admitted" that she consulted Finance Minister Arun Jaitley during government formation in the state and demanded her dismissal by President Pranab Mukherjee. In a statement here, senior Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa alleged that the Governor's actions were politically motivated and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had "manufactured its majority" in the coastal state. "We want to ask the Governor, where did she hear it from? Did she hear it from anybody in the Congress? How can she take such a decision without consulting the President of India?" he said. | ||||||||
