The International Women’s Day will be celebrated all around the world on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

The International Women’s day (IWD), which is marked every year on March 8th, is the best day to tell women how special they are. International Women's Day was originally called as International Working Women’s Day.

The first IWD was observed on 19 March 1911 in Germany following a declaration by the Socialist Party of America.

The day is celebrated globally and events are held to mark the achievements of women and to accord them recognition.
