Thick blanket of fog in north India

NORMAL TEMPERATURE IN UP: Despite dense fog temperatures remained generally normal at many places in Uttar Pradesh. But in Kanpur, mercury stayed appreciably below normal with the city recording a low of 4.6 degrees celsius, weather office said.
