Cold wave, snow in Kashmir

After heavy snowfall in the past week cold wave has intensified in Kashmir Valley. Cold wave has tightened its grip over Kashmir Valley and Ladakh region where the minimum temperatures has dipped several degrees below the freezing point. Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a drop of over three degrees in the minimum temperature as the mercury settled at a low of minus 3.3 degrees Celsius on Sunday, Feb 16, night, compared to 0.3 degrees Celsius on Friday night.
