The happiness knows no bounds if the girl happens to be a victim of some kind of social attack. So is true with Laxmi, the acid attack victim. Laxmi is now getting married to Alok Dikshit of Kanpur. The 25-year-old groom Alok has launched a campaign Spot of Shame on social media against acid attack. Talking about the plight of acid attack victims Laxmi says, "I always ask the society, ‘what is our fault’? People accept those born blind or those who are physically challenged, but we are shunned".
