Bangalore girl Noyonita Lodh was on Sunday night crowned Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva Universe 2014 after beating 14 finalists across India. The 21-year-old student will represent India at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, which will be held in Miami in the US. Delhi's Alankrita Sahai was named as Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva Universe 2014 first runner-up, while another Bangalore girl Asha Bhat as Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva Universe 2014 second runner-up. The grand finale was judged by celebrities including Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, Esha Gupta, and ace designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil, who also designed the outfits of the models. The finale was hosted by former Miss Universe Lara Dutta, who was the last Indian beauty to win the coveted title in 2000, and saw Indian beauties giving out their glamorous best and impressing the judges with their responses in the Q and A round. This year's auditions took place across the country and aimed at finding contestants with the finest combination of utmost beauty and smartness. The selection process, which was aired on Zee cafe in the form of a TV series, saw the weakest link eliminated at the end of every episode where the tasks were judged by experts from fashion and Hindi Film industries like Sonam Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, Kunal Kapoor, Rana Daggubati, designers Nikhil and Shantanu, Atul Kasbeakar, Pria Kataria, Falguni and Shane Peacock amongst others. The Yamaha Fascino Miss Universe 2014 winners were crowned at a glittering and scintillating ceremony. So far, India has won twice the Miss Universe title.
