Besides vegetables the fruits too are beyond the reach of common man. Apples are available in plenty but prices begins Rs 60 for a kg onwards. So is true with papaya which sells around Rs 60 and bananas for Rs 50 for a dozen. People says while it is necessary to eat fruits to stay health but at this price one cannot afford to buy them for the family.
