ixigo enters USD 20 billion smart wearables market with ixigo glass Last Updated : 03 Apr 2017 12:17:43 PM IST file photo
India's leading travel search engine ' title=' travel search engine '>travel search engine ixigo has announced the launch of a wearable product that will change the way one perceives the world around them.
ixigo glass is a first-of-its-kind smart wearable that helps users see real-time comparisons for whatever they lay their eyes on. For instance, if a user is looking through the glasses and sees a bunch of cabs on the road, the glasses will project the various price offerings, telling them which one they can book at the lowest fare.
ixigo glass comes pre-installed with a custom built Operating System for this interface. It can be charged by USB Type-C cable and the battery lasts for almost a week. It's loaded with FRAME 4790p quad core processor and state-of-the-art storage, which means 4GB RAM and 32GB flash memory.
These glasses have an inbuilt 12 megapixel centre camera which captures the user's point-of-view and projects intelligent meta data on the glasses at the push of a button provided on the frame.
"At ixigo we have always believed in the immense power of search, comparison and artificial intelligence. Applying augmented-reality to smart wearables, we designed a product that would allow users to see comparisons of attributes and prices in real-time for objects they lay their eyes on. Once you wear ixigo glass, just one tap on the side and the device starts projecting meta information and comparisons superimposed on the real-world. From information about flights, or train status, to comparisons for hotels, travel guides, to doing as much as comparing vegetable prices for you, it's magical what this tiny device can do!," said ixigo CTO and co-founder, Rajnish Kumar.
"While it is really challenging to design something which is minimal, it's even tougher to design something that is also strong, robust and precise at the same time. At ixigo we feel that technology that's life enhancing, should be in the hands of everyone. So the prototype of ixigo glass is free for all our users, till stocks last," said ixigo CEO and co-founder, Aloke Bajpai.
ixigo glass is a culmination of three years of groundbreaking research in machine learning, augmented reality and predictive analytics.ANI For Latest Updates Please-
